Response to: The Great Barrington Declaration

When looking up the Great Barrington Declaration on the two websites, the first thing that I noticed was Google had an ad at the top of the webpage instead of immediately displaying the website for the declaration. On DuckDuckGo (DDG), this ad was not present. Furthermore, all the results are different. Most notably, google provides sources that call the declaration arrogant (U.S. News) while DDG has sources talking about the silencing of the declaration (sciencebasedmedicine.org). Response to Covid: Second Opinion Panel

Luckily, my experience with covid-19 has not been as disastrous as the experience of many others. Although most of my family has been infected, none of them have had life-threatening consequences/ had to be hospitalized. My life has been more so indirectly affected by covid-19. For example, the last two years of high school were mostly online, and my daily activities were impacted by closures and preventative measures. Response to: The Doctors for Disaster Preparedness lecture

The information provided in this article and video counters the preventative measures that were taken nationwide. State and federal governments and most universities imposed mask mandates and social distancing as ways to prevent the spread of covid-19 and, thus, lower the number of fatalities and infections. Merritt informs her audience that the government’s measures were unnecessary as areas that took the least amount of preventative measures actually ended up being better off in the long run.
